Counties Manukau Athletics 2018/19

Counties Manukau Athletics is made up of a group of clubs from the region that come together to offer opportunities for the Youth of Counties Manukau.

Centralised training is provided to athletes 10yrs+ in preparation for Trans Tasman, Interprovincials and Secondary Schools Championships.

Counties Manukau Athletics is made up of volunteers. These volunteers organise all trainings, championships and representative teams.

December News

The Counties Manukau Sunday trainings on the track for the 18/19 season are on. Athletes trialing for the Counties Manuaku 12/13yr, U16 and U18 Interprovincial teams as well as the athletes trialing for the 10/11yr Trans Tasman can attend the trainings.

The trainings are at Massy Park Papakura starting on Sunday October 7th 10am – 12pm.

The date to have the entry form in has closed and the selectors are now compiling results from the athletic events as they start the selection of the Ip teams. You can check the qualifing information for each team under the Interprovicial tab.

2017/2018 season’s Highlights.

Congratulations to Hayley Marx (Pukekohe) and Matthew Aucamp (Pakuranga) who won the New Zealand U20 Hepthalon and Decathlon championships in Wanganui.

Congratulations to the Counties Manukau U16 – U18 Interprovincial teams who had a successful competition at Massey Park Papakura over the Auckland Anniversary weekend.

The team results – U16 team 2nd (by 1 point) and U18 team 2nd.

Relay results – U16 Girls 1st, U16 Boys 2nd, U18 Women 2nd.

Individual results –

– Samadiana Fariz 1st and Glory Laulala 2nd grade 14 Girls.

– Jorien Fourie 1st grade 15 girls

– Daniel Parkes 1st grade 16 men

– Lisa Putt 2nd grade 16 women

– Matthew Aucamp 3rd Grade 17 men

The team Captains were Matthew Aucamp and Haley Marx.

The Counties Manukau U16-U18 most improved athlete winners are

Thankyou to the Counties Manukau organising team for organising the day, the Auckland officials team for running the meeting, our local MP Judith Collins, Coucillor Daniel Newman and the local council board chairperson Brent Catchpole for opening the competition, Hamish Meechan our guest speaker at the prizegiving and our Counties Parents for their 100% support with this competition.
